ARTSCAPE MAP UPDATES
ARTISAN MARKET
Move towards E. Pleasant St. beneath JFX. Tent count remains 85.
Re-configuring tent, layout in communal marketplace.
Add stretched panels 16‘ triangles overhead beneath the GFX to reflect projection, lighting and Gobos adding additional ambient lighting throughout.
Additional Lighting Beneath JFX.
As a complement to the painted columns, lets create an online page for Artist to create and present images for juried selection to be printed on back light film and applied to pre-fabricated oversized hanging lanterns hung from beneath the JFX. The lantern design would be six sided lightweight aluminum frame with LED interior light to back light the image panels as well as down light the artist market and flavor lab. Two of the panels would be dedicated to art scape branding. The remaining four panels would show original printed artwork. The artwork can be changed throughout the year.
An online and printed catalog card would be available to follow the exhibition.
This would be a semi permanent fixtures.
FLAVOR LAB
Move and redesign flavor lab beneath the JFX near E. Saratoga St. if possible incorporate the green space on East Saratoga. Enhance the pop-up kitchen platform with lighting and mobile counter space.
Create a pop-up dining district with themed communal dining space.
Provide diorama display space for furniture & interior designers. ( dining seating and display)
PRIDE STAGE
Identify pride stage location on Gay Street lot
Incorporate lighting projection & hidden crane suspending oversized 6’ spinning disco ball with multicolor display over Gay St and Saratoga St intersection (hung below site of above JFX traffic)
WAY FINDING
Propose to Incorporate to types of way finding tools throughout the ArtScape footprint.
First, chalk spray mapping in the streets, directing visitors through various experiences, and exhibition areas. Augmented reality, visual tools along the way, provide direction, information, promotion, and other tools to enhance the community experience. (may require touchup application throughout the festival.)
The second tool is a semi permanent solution on the sidewalks throughout the footprint. This augmented reality experience can be driven in cooperation with the local museum, such as the peel or BMA To create a living street exhibition.
For this, we would use a vinyl application for sidewalk adhesion as well as physical signage, rooted along the way for AR activator points. This process can remain throughout the year and different exhibitions can be assigned to the platform without physical change to the installation.
EXPERIENCE PARTNERSHIPS
Semi permanent Street, wrapping will lead to primary points along the route, such as the intersection of East Saratoga and Holiday streets and the triangle space at East Pleasant at the entry of the artisan market. These areas will include physical, large scale experiences, enhanced by lighting and interactivity.
Example: A pop interactive creative workshop, in partnership with LOWES Home Improvement. Festival guests schedule 30min time slots to create in the workshop. "Keep what you Make" Kids and adult sessions available.
SEMI PERNINANT SCULPTURE
Consider 4-6 large scale (8’+) semi permanent sculpture, exhibition platforms throughout the footprint. Opportunity Create Baltimore to offer sculptor grants/ commissions.

Include more photo opportunity, pop-ups throughout the footprint.
