RAUNJIBA's VISION FOR A UNIQUE
ART & TECHNOLOGY DRIVEN CAMPAIGN
FOR BALTIMORE CITY
RAUNJIBA Design and Urban Arc propose the transformation of selected existing billboards throughout Baltimore City into dynamic anamorphic display opportunities that bring a new level of visual impact to advertising, public communication, and civic storytelling. Through carefully designed three-dimensional content, these billboards can create the illusion that images, objects, and messages extend beyond the screen, turning familiar locations into memorable urban landmarks. The technology offers powerful opportunities for brands, cultural institutions, local sports teams, tourism campaigns, and public-service announcements to engage audiences in ways that traditional flat advertising cannot. Imagine Orioles and Ravens content appearing to emerge into the cityscape, public-safety messages presented through clear and compelling animation, or local businesses and artists gaining visibility through immersive digital storytelling.

This proposal is part of RAUNJIBA Design and Urban Arc’s Art & Technology Development Initiative, “Baltimore Is Ready for More,” a city-focused effort designed to enhance the experience of Baltimore for residents, visitors, businesses, and cultural partners. By integrating anamorphic billboards, augmented-reality wayfinding, interactive public art, and beautiful architectural lighting installations, the initiative seeks to create a more connected, visually engaging, and future-facing city.
These technologies can improve navigation, encourage tourism, support economic activity, strengthen neighborhood identity, and transform underutilized infrastructure into meaningful public experiences. Together, these tools position Baltimore to embrace innovation while celebrating the people, culture, history, and creativity that make the city distinctive.
